Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • All references cited in the text are included in the reference section.
  • All figures and tables are cited in the text.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted should not have been published previously and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere at the time they are submitted o the Journal. Three copies of a manuscript must be submitted to the Editor. After the acceptance of a manuscript the author must submit on disk using MS Word 2000 or compatible programmes.


Manuscripts must be in English, typed in double space on one side only ofA4 paper with ample margins, and should have maximum length of20 pages including references, tables and illustrations.


A manuscript reporting on original research must contain the following features: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion (or Results and Discussion), Conclusion and References. Review papers should be divided into suitable sections under short headings.


The title of the manuscript must be followed by the name(s) of the author(s) and their addresses.  The Abstract should not exceed 250 words and must summarize the main points of the paper.


Footnotes are not employed


Tables should be typed at the appropriate place in the text, be numbered consecutively, have a title, and should be cited in the text.


Figures should be submitted on separate sheets, done in black ink on white paper and ready for camera productions.


Photographs of good quality must be printed on glossy paper and should not be mounted. Black and white pictures are preferred.


References should be indicated in the text by giving the author's name with years of publication (in brackets). At the end of the paper the references should be listed (without numbering) alphabetically according to the first author's name.


Ln the list of references all titles of periodicals should be given in full.  For books the title, the edition, name of publisher and place of publication must be stated.
